Mark Bardes began his career by serving a four-year apprenticeship with outside sheet metal workers Local 28 from 1981-1985. He was then a Sheet Metal Mechanic from 1985-1993 and a Sheet Metal Worker with Local 28. He went on to become a Sheet Metal Worker with HHC in 1993, where he worked until 2013, and has been at DOT ever since. Two years later, on June 17, 2021, Mark was approved by the Executive Board as the new Recording Secretary to fill the spot of Jason Vetter, who went on to become the Secretary-Treasurer.
